What is the difference between Operations and Systems Management for an MBA aspirant

hi there!! i'm planning to do my mba this year!! what is the difference between these two streams? OPERATIONS&TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT AND SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT!! WHAT ARE THE JOB PROSPECTS?? what kind of designation or position can i expect?? can anyone throw light on these queries???

    Hi Prabhakran,
    Although, if you define Information system & information technology it may differ, (IS is a wider term used to create, store, manipulate information & IT, which is a tool to create systems, forms a part of IS), but if you look at MBA degree program it would be used at a relatively same level that is it would be considered as a degree in Information technology, some B-Schools will call it MBA IT & Some MBA IS.
    As far as operations are concerned it is related to the areas like production, logistics, material management etc.

    Operations would fetch you jobs at the backoffice and look after the operations (Admn)in companies. Tech Mgmt. would get you jobs at firms rekated to Computers and Software,\.
