Hi Sir, How can I apply for PhD in English in Mumbai university? I just gave my Mcom part 1 exam and awaiting results. Am I eligible?
As mentioned, I have given my Mcom part 1 exams and awaiting my results. Am I eligible to pursue PhD in English in Mumbai University after I get the pass certificate? And if yes, please guide how and when do I apply for it?

Admission to Phd Courses is done through Common Entrance Test namely PET (Ph.D Entrance Test). Exemption from PhD Entrance Test •Applicants who have qualified in GATE/SET/NET/(JRF) examinations are exempt from appearing for PET. •Applicants who hold a Teacher Fellowship with CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR and DBT are also exempted Tentative dates for Mumbai University PhD Admission •Start date for sale of applications: First or second week of April •Last date for acceptance of applications: Third week of April •Date of Entrance Exam : Third of fourth week of April Application Process:- 1.Applicants who have passed the entrance test or have been exempted are required to apply in prescribed format. 2.A demand draft of Rs 100/- needs to be paid to the concerned recognized Research Center within 15 days of the declaration of the result 3.Head of Department will invite candidates for interview based on application. 4.Interviews will be conducted at the respective University Department, PG Research Centers and Recognized Research Institutes within 30 days of declaration of results. 5.The list of eligible candidates will be displayed by the board. 6.Research Centers will allocate Research Guides for candidates. 7.Candidates are required to submit a detailed research proposal.
