How are the placements of B.Tech in CSE from IIT, Madras?

I can certainly give you an overview of the placement that was done recently at IIT-Madras: Intel became the number 1 recruiter by recruiting more than 29 students itself and the top package offered is 1.15 crores. The number of startups that visited the campus during the placement season dropped down by 50% because of the previous year's fraud where they didn't entertain the offer letters issued to students by them. So, the committee was a little more cautious this time while calling companies during the recruitment season. Also, many companies didn't get a chance to show up because of the placement phase being cut down to a week's event instead of a 15 day programme because of the inter sports meet.
