Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee commonly known as IIT R is one of the oldest engineering colleges of India and is located in Roorkee city of Uttarakhand. The college is well known for its strict rules and excellent placement. In mechanical engineering placement is good but only few core companies visit the campus.I think the number of core companies is enough to hire all students who deserve core jobs. Going forward, around 55% of the placed students got into core jobs which is a really good metric.
Around 17% got into IT jobs while around 29% got into consulting/finance jobs.
