Electronics & Instrumentation at BITS Goa is a good program. You'll get excellent opportunities in the field of electronics and computer science. Not many students choose to go to the instrumentation side, mostly because it doesn't seem so lucrative in India.
And as far as the placements are concerned ,typically, students who stick to tech end up working in the VLSI/embedded area (TI/ Intel/ Qualcomm/ Broadcom), networking area (Cisco/ Tejas Networks), or software (Oracle), which is where you'll find opportunities in India. Frankly, you should consider taking Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering principal on only if you're really interested and passionate about this branch because if the campus placement is the only parameter for you then it would be really difficult for you to get into your dream company as the number of electronics and instrumentation companies visiting the campus for the placement drive vary each and every year.
