The 11th and 12th standard classes come under senior secondary education in India. It is also known as PGT. You can also become a government PGT teacher by fulfilling the following requirements:
    1. You need to have completed a graduation degree in the subject that you want to teach at the senior secondary level.
    2. You should also have a B.Ed. Degree with 50% marks.
    3. To become a government teacher, you will be also required to pass a recruitment exam.
    4. You may also appear in any government exam, such as the CTET TET, DSSSB etc. After qualifying for the relevant exam, you can become a government teacher.

B.Ed is a mandatory degree to become a teacher. It makes the candidate eligible to become a government teacher and also more and more experience is required.
