How can I crack BITSAT in 3 months?

BITSAT is an entrance exam conducted to provide the admission in BITS for various courses. There are 450 questions in total divided into four sections. Level of this exam is not as tough as JEE Mains exam. Therefore, one needs more helpful tips to crack BITSAT exam in three months: 1. Check out the previous years question papers and start with the understanding the types of question which are asked frequently every year. 2. Download the syllabus and study it carefully. To crack BITSAT in three months, you should have a complete knowledge of these numbers that are coming in the BITSAT exam. 3. Take a number of online tests to assess the speed at which you can solve problems or give priority to it over all the other allied factors. 4. For PCM specific areas, concentrate and focus on a few key areas of Physics and Chemistry and Maths which are going to maximize your returns and go for the rest of the topics only if you have some time left after you have completed all these topics. Some of the topics are as follows: Physics: Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electrostatics and electromagnetism. Chemistry: Try and go for a ride with NCERT for inorganic chemistry. Getting the basics right for iconic equilibrium, chemical equilibrium and gas laws might come in handy for physical chemistry. If you're comfortable with organic chemistry, go for a quick revision, else skip it. Mathematics: You are likely to get almost 50% of the paper from integral calculus, differential calculus, coordinate geometry and complex number and make sure that you know their basics very well. 5. You should also have the complete knowledge of the exam pattern. I would suggest you to attempt and practice as many questions as possible. Going subject-wise, chemistry part of BITSAT is almost theoretical and direct. So, be thorough with the basics and facts of inorganic and organic. It is easy to score. Physics has mostly conceptual questions or simple numericals. Practice such questions from BITSAT book or similar book with past years questions of JEE Mains and other state board exams. For Maths, you will need speed as well as accuracy, it only comes from practice, but the level of questions isn't very difficult. Attempt the previous years questions for practice. Hope it helps.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Aptitude Test (BITSAT) is conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) to offer admissions to interested candidates in its BE, Pharma and M.Sc programmes. BITSAT exam is a computer-based test (CBT) which aspirants need to clear in order to secure admission at BITS campuses located at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. If you have prepared rigorously for JEE for one or two years then it would be easy for you to crack BITSAT in 3 months. But if you are talking about starting from the scratch and cracking it in three months, it is pretty difficult. Firstly, start with the NCERT books and I hope that you have at least studied from these in past year. So, solve all the numericals possible and try to cover as much ground as possible. For physics, you can use DC Pandey objective Physics book. For maths, R.D Sharma will be fine. For Chemistry, NCERT will be fine. Once you are done with most of the portion, start taking mock tests. You can either buy books for that. Solve the mocks, analyze the paper and learn from your mistakes. I will suggest that you start your preparation at least one year before the exam. All the best.

If you are preparing for any other engineering entrance exam then you can easily crack BITSAT (entrance test held by BITs Pilani to admit it's students) in three months. Otherwise, it will be very difficult to crack BITSAT in the given period of time. Generally cutoff for BITSAT goes higher so you can't rely on some selected topics. BITSAT asks some basic questions which test your knowledge and concept of the topic. So the theory of each and every topic should be clear. Preparation strategy for the examination: 1. Initially, focus on topics which are not common in JEE and BITSAT. Then you can switch on the topics which are more important. 2. Take online tests as much as possible.This will habituate you to sit for three hours continuously. 3. You need to attempt good amount of questions in the examination because cutoff for BITs generally goes higher. 4. There is no substitute for hard work. Study about 12-14 hours a day and divide the time subject wise. 5 .Focus more on chemistry.This section of the paper will be scoring. Hope it helped.

Follow the following: Check previous years question papers. Take a number of online tests. Download the syllabus and study it carefully. Allot 1 hour every day to reading a good newspaper. For PCM, earmark specific areas to concentrate on.

Prepare as per the BITSAT syllabus provided in the brochure. 1. The brochure is easily available online. 2. All the topics covered in BITSAT are not covered in IIT-JEE. Revise all the topics that you are comfortable with so that you can make the most of these easy scoring sections. All formulas should be memorized by heart. Remember, your speed is of immense importance in the BITSAT. 3. Once revision of old topics is complete, spend an hour per day on new topics. 4. The subjects included in the BITSAT include mathematics, physics, chemistry, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning. Have all the mathematical formulas on your tips. Write down vital chemical reactions, particularly from Organic Chemistry so that you have them handy when required. 5. A lot of practice is required in mathematics. The subject is more mechanical than logic based; therefore you need to use brain power. Valuable time is spent in solving these problems, so you need to be fast while solving them. 6. It is important for you to attempt 100 questions correctly. Negative marking also exists in BITSAT. Therefore, to remain on the safer side, you should attempt a minimum of 120 questions. Answering 120 questions correctly means a score of 360 which is suitable for admission into BITS, Pilani. 7. To be able to attempt 120 questions in all, divide the examination in such a manner that you attempt 20 questions in English and logical reasoning, 35 each in chemistry and mathematics and 30 in physics. 8. Start the paper with a subject that you are competent with, moving on to English and Logical Reasoning. This strategy turns out to be extremely effective. 9. Spend only one minute per question in the beginning one and a half hour of the examination. Wasting too much time on a question at the beginning could result in chaos in the end. 10. There are several BITSAT online test series available on the web. These mock tests improve your skills at attempting the paper. Not just that, they also give you the patience to sit in front of a computer for 3 hours nonstop.
