The eligibility for Ph.D Physics is
a) Master's degree with 55% aggregate marks in a relevant discipline or equivalent, subject to clearing LPUNEST-2017 and Interview;
b) Other conditions as prescribed in the guidelines for Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programmes, 2017.
Important Dates
Schedule for Ph.D. admission for the session 2017-18
1. Last date of registration-22nd June 2017.
2. Date of examination-25th June 2017.
3. Result of test-4th July 2017.
4. Interview-11th July to 18th July 2017.
5. Result of Interview-25th July 2017.
6. Last Date of admission-10th August 2017.

Well being an alumni as well as an existing student of LPU it is a pleasure to answer such queries regarding LPU. I am myself pursuing PhD from LPU(in maths) and now in second year. Moreover, i have also pursued masters degree from the same. When i joined LPU for pursuing Masters degree, during those two years i realized how good my decision to join LPU was. Admission Criteria
An applicant will be shortlisted for an interview on the basis of his/ her score in the entrance examination LPUNEST (Ph.D.).
The final selection for admission in Ph.D. will be based on the performance in Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the Interview.
