    Hello! dear, to clear the IAS examination conducted by union public service commission. One need to be very hardworking. There are 3 stages that is prelims, Mains and interview also known as personality test. For prelims, read the NCERT books for concepts and do a lot of mock tests. For Mains, go to standard books and do a lot of practice of answer writing. You can refer to this official page of Shiksha.     Hi,
    First of all, you should be well aware of the IAS syllabus which you can have at UPSC portal. You have to daily read at least 2 or 3 newspapers one of which should be an English newspaper. You need to make a time table for your study. Regarding books, you can consult with NCERT (9th-12th) for basic knowledge and others can be viewed at UPSC portal.

    The UPSC conducts the Civil Services Examination (CSE), popularly known as IAS (Indian Administrative Service) exam, in two phases namely- UPSC Prelims and UPSC Mains. The prelims exam comprises objective-type questions, while the questions asked in mains need descriptive and essay-type answering.
    For preparation purpose, You need to
    1. Read about Economy, Politics, History, Geography, Ecology and Current Affairs.
    2. Refer to NCERT books of 11-12th standard. These basic textbooks help you have an in-depth knowledge about the above mentioned subjects.
