IGC NET or JRF exams are for those who want to join the HigherEd Teaching. A Post Graduate is eligible to appear. The syllabus is available on the websites and one thing I would suggest is that Learn Best in Graduation and Post Graduation of the Subject you want to have for UGC NET.
