How can one become a cabin crew in an international airline? Is the criterion different from that of domestic airlines?

In domestic sectors, it is helpful to be aware of regional languages of the places where the airline operates. So that they may put you on a roster for those flights. In case of an international airline, the most important thing here is the same, to know the language. If you are targeting some international airline then learn some foreign languages apart from English. You may go for French, Thai, German, Chinese or Japanese. A lot of airlines operate to destinations where such languages are spoken. All the best.

Based on the question, I can think of two scenarios. As an Indian, a person can work in an airline in India which has international routes or an Indian can work in a foriegn airline and fly international routes that way. Whichever the way, everyone starts at homebase and undergoes the same training as far as aircraft safety, SOPs, emergency procedures, water ditching, first aid, passenger emergencies and unruly behaviour management is concerned.
Flying international routes is totally based on the company you work for. If your airline has international routes and they are using the same aircraft on which you are doing your domestic rout...more -

Becoming a flight attendant is not for everybody. It requires the individual to be calm at all times and most importantly, be patient. It is also important for a flight attendant to be out going and compassionate.
Having knowledge of different languages is also a plus point; however, it is not a necessity. Another skill that should be possessed by individuals wanting to become flight attendants is that they must be very confident and should always have a smile on their faces.
Flight attendants must be flexible, reliable, and willing to relocate. Flight attendants must also be problem solvers. Flight attendants should also be able to...more -

6 years agoHello,
The training of cabin crew is same for domestic as well as international airlines. It includes basic safeties also. Majority of Airlines in India are presently not eligible to fly abroad due to the constraints and QR's put up by Government of India. In addition, the aircrew is also trained on safety aspects of the type of aircraft on which he/she is expected to work and appropriate license issued by the authorities. Now, it has so happened that the type of aircraft flown on international routes are different than the one flown in domestic routes. This causes problems in switching of aircrew from domestic to international and vice...more -
