How do average students from the top B-schools fare in the industry?

There are two possible scenarios here when you are talking about the 'average' student. First one is the average guy who walks into the corridor of a premier B-School but utilizes every opportunity that the institute provides and transforms himself into an extraordinary guy. The second one is any guy who does not so well but also not so bad at the B-school. Now, in comparison with his peers, he is 'average'. So probably he gets placed in a Day 4/5 company. It is true that top B-Schools have a brand image and big companies visit these places. But that doesn't mean that being in top college will accumulate your growth, it totally depends on your skills and ability and how you adapt the learning. They will provide you with opportunities to get into a good industry but it's up to you only either you will get it or lose it. Companies employ best people for them. As candidates are resources for them and they will make sure that they would have the best of it. First of all, it is not a myth that if you will get the admission in the top B-Schools then the fair chances are that the FOI is much higher than any other college, but recruiter's scores don't always correlate to MBA rankings. It is not always that "top B-School " would bring a new hight into your career as it totally depends on your own abilities and passion because until and unless you won't be willing to put your heart and soul to your work no top B-School could help you to get there. Let's clear the biggest misconception.
It is not your college that decides your job growth but how you implement skills learnt and how hard and smartly you work your way up the ladder.
Of course most of the top students will mostly perform well in their work but it does not mean that everyone will reach great heights.
There are many students with average grades but passion for a particular subject. If they get a job in that particular field they can be really successful.
