Personal suggestion: don't use an IDE (PyCharm) During this time, you start with Sublime Text and a simple code highlighter only. As for now, do not bother with Python 2.7, use Python 3. It is the future. It takes around two to six months to learn the fundamentals of Python. But you can learn enough to write your first python program.
