The most prominent aspects in getting admitted into the college include the following:</p><p>1. Entrance Examination: This is admission through the KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical) examination, which is among the most sought-after entrance exams and extremely stiffest, especially for the more popular streams like Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering. Avail good rank for admission opportunity as less number of seats.</p><p>2. Reservation and merit-based seats: Admission procedure followed by YCET is through KEAM counseling and it has seats for merit-based and reserved for a category (like SC/ST, OBC). The difficulty level in admission is determined depending on the category in which one belongs.</p><p>3. Cut-off Marks: Different cut-off marks are set for each year for admission depending on the factors like the level of difficulty in the entrance examination and the number of applicants. Thus, an applicant who scores well in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and has a high score in KEAM, has the least chances in the admission walk.</p><p>4. Popularity of Course: Again, it depends on the seat since different courses face different levels of competition.
