You don't need have prior knowledge. The subjects are not Mathematics. The career is secure. It's a matter of dynamism and interpersonal skills. They are, as a matter of fact, needed in most fields.

Travel & Tourism is the career of today's world. It is recession free industry. You should learn at least basic modules from an institute who provides job guarantee. A Bachelors and Masters programs are available in Travel and Tourism from various institute having good track record of placement and vocational university as well as IGNOU. But practical experience is must along with studies. So you need to be ready for travel.
