7 years agoMainframe computing - Flexible infrastructure that can support virtualized environments; scalable support for big data analytics and new applications; simple migration processes; and reduced total cost of ownership compared to a private cloud. The advantage of mainframe computing is higher reliability. If an internet connection goes down, or if the host servers go down, the client will be unable to access its data.

Cloud Computing are now far better than Mainframe Computing. According to me, there are majorly one reason that why cloud computing is preferred. The reasons are, location of its server and securities. For mainframe, the location of server is generally single that usually operates in a centralized zone. It is specially build and requires air conditioning room, but cloud computing is generally a scattered location server. But, when it comes to security, mainframe Computing gets thumbs up.
