How is DAV University, Jalandhar for pursuing B.Sc in agriculture science?

DAV University is situated in a very good place. This University got many jobs for poor people and adopted some villages. The teachers are very good at nature and all teachers are well qualified. Go for it.

I would like to give a decent option apart from the above mentioned college that is Chandigarh university. Transferring subject-related knowledge and creating a link between theory and real-world applications. Students should be encouraged to grow personally and to build their self-confidence because doing so will increase their chances of joining the agro-industry. Generating interest in agriculture-related topics using data from experiments and Science. Through real-world applications and research, improve your problem-solving abilities.

B.Sc. In Agriculture is a broad-based course with great potential. It deals with things like food production, horticulture, animal rearing, rural economy and rural development, environmental health, etc. Other industries may face downsizing but agriculture can never fall prey because food is the basic necessity for life. Feeding the world will never face a recession or a slowdown. In fact, the development in technology, research, and innovation has multiplied the scope of agriculture in a big way. B.Sc. Agriculture is a 4-year undergraduate professional course offered by various government and private universities in India. The demand for graduates with a degree in agriculture is increasing every day in India and abroad. Course fees are also considerably lower in comparison to other professional degrees, while rewarding with good jobs and a better package. LPU is the only private university that has ICAR approval. LPU students got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. Students of School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio SEED Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Amazon, Sanra organics and many more. The package really depends on what he can show to the recruiters that, how much he is worth or deserved. There were some students who cracked the placement and got offered 1 crore LPA, while many failed to do so. On an average the Agriculture students of LPU is offered and placed in the starting package of 5.5 TO 6 LPA (Fixed salary) while there may be cases of students getting less than that or more than that. Like I said, LPU will provide you the platform and the opportunity, but it is really you who have to go and perform on the platform being provided.

DAV University is situated in Jalandhar in Punjab state of India. Established in 2013, is a Private college. The college is accredited by AICTE, NAAC, ICAR, government of Punjab. DAV University offers 54 courses across 11 streams namely Engineering, Science, Agriculture, Arts, Media and Mass Communication. Popular degrees offered at DAV University include B.Sc. B.Tech, B.Com B.A. B.P.Ed. Besides a robust teaching pedagogy, DAV University is also a leader in research and innovation. Focus is given to activities beyond academics at DAV University, which is evident from its infrastructure, extracurricular activities and national & international collaborations. The placement at DAV University is varied, with recruitment options both in corporates and public sector as well as entrepreneurship. Well, I am not well aware of this university but according to some reviews about the Placements are like :-" To be frank this university do not provide with any placement for agriculture students hardly one company visited to the university to take interview not offering good package. We were the first batch to pass out from this university and students got placement and placement cell hardly shows their presence. " So, I would just like to suggest you to go with Chandigarh University for pursuing B.Sc. In Agriculture Science. As Chandigarh University provides the students with a lot of great opportunities and good placements.

Being an alumni of LPU I would rather say that the school of Agriculture in Lovely Professional University is among the best place for pursuing the B.Sc. In agriculture. Eligibility for admission in this course is as follows (a) 10+2 or Intermediate (with English*, Physics Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) or (b) 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or (c) 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent *Condition of English as a subject may be waived off provided the candidate has studied in English medium. Dear Neeraj, I am not aware of B.Sc. Agriculture programme at DAV University but being alumni of LPU, I can provide you with the details of this programme at LPU. LPU is the first private university that got approval by ICAR. (I). The school of Agriculture was approved for accreditation for period of five years with GPAC of 3.42 (ii) The following degree programs were approved for accreditation for a period of five years B.Sc. (Hons. ). Agriculture with GPAP of 3.72 Eligibility Criteria: You should have passed with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English Physics Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent.
