How is life at LPU, Jalandhar?

Hii there, Being a student of LPU I must assure you that LPU is one the best place to study and explore. LPUs infrastructure is one of the biggest and best in the world and got an A+ ranking. IIn houses 30k+ students from 29 states and 50+countries across the globe. The campus of LPU is surrounded by trees and gardens that make the teaching and learning environment more comfortable. The LPU central library is one of the major attractions at LPU. The library has Lacs of books on various subjects, and it helps students to clarify their subject-related doubts. The library also has several magazines, journals, newspapers, etc. LPU has Hi-Tech labs like iMac lab, CISCO lab, GOOGLE LAB, BOT lab, BIG DATA lab, and many more. Aviation Lab is the supreme lab on the LPU campus that offers an outstanding practical experience to the students of the Airlines course. University Mall and Cafe Coffee Day, dominos are the other top recreation spots on the campus. Students can buy the required things from the university mall. As far as sports facilities are concerned, the campus is bestowed by all major sports facilities. There is a separate football field, cricket ground, boxing ring, and taekwondo for interested students. Apart from these, there are separate areas for all major sports, athletics, etc. As LPU has students from various states and countries, cultural events play a vital role. LPU has one of the largest indoor auditoriums in the country Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium for various official, academic, and cultural activities. It's like we are studying in foreign because national as well as international both are studying together. LPU is a sprawling 600-acre campus with a cosmopolitan culture that attracts over 30000 students from India and 70 other countries. The campus includes a full-service hotel, a shopping mall, more than 300 kiosks, seven bank branches, a post office, a hospital, numerous large and small auditoriums, a convention center, indoor and outdoor sports complexes, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, numerous gyms, skating rinks, playgrounds, a bowling alley, fully equipped hostels, and apartment complexes, and many other amenities. The school has a three-tier security system because it is a multicultural college with a lot of variety. LPU offers a variety of events, including concerts, film shoots, contests, sporting activities, and many others. These not only are fun but also give exposure to the volunteers.

LPU is all about fun, The rich presence of the diverse crowd at LPU makes it a lot more happening than any other university campus. It is undoubtedly a center of art and culture, having societies for all art forms - be it dance, music, fine arts, literature, or theater. To take a break from their academic engagements, students can enjoy bowling, air hockey and many more games with their friends at the campus Super bowl alley. The campus maintains an excellent in-house cue lounge for students and staff to get their hands on billiards and snooker. Campus provides best in class roller skating infrastructure, where students can relive their childhood and prepare for competitive events.

I am alumni of LPU and I stayed in LPU hostel during my Post graduation years and honestly those were the best days of my life. I made some amazing friends and had some amazing experiences. I am in a better position to answer your question. My experience at LPU has been phenomenal. First of all congratulations to you as you successful entered into the college life. I want to tell you that you are at the very right place, Lovely Professional University not only boosts the career of the Student, It also provides you the skills which school forgot to teach you. Do not miss your Induction at all. You shall participate in your induction programme which will help you to know basic guidelines of your programme, information about your class mentor, HOD etc. You will be getting information about them and contact numbers, email ids will be shared at this time. LPU is a place for every type of student who have different interests and liking. You will get a lot of opportunity in Lovely professional University. There are numerous activities to do depends upon one's choice and interests. There is one Division named Division of Student where you can register for dance, Music, sports etc. !There is a mall in the campus itself where you can shop, eat, play games, etc. There is a gym as well. The campus itself is too big to accommodate all kind of leisure activities. I am sure many more things have been added till now. Enjoy the co-curricular Events: Don't miss the opportunity to refresh yourself by attending the fun events in the evening especially in the month of August. University spends a lot for theses kinds of events. Join a Student Organisation. It's about exposing yourself to something new every time and meeting new people you have an opportunity. There are endless options to choose from and whenever in a fix, go with the NSS or NCC for some community service. Pursue your hobby: Many come to college life saying to themselves Ah, here I am finally. Free from everyone, the family, the society back home and decide to pursue theater or learn to dance or try the guitar or start your own entrepreneurial venture. By the time people realize it, times already gone. So, it becomes crucial to experiment early. LPU provides you wide platform to groom your personality. All you need to do is just to participate in various programs/ events organized by Division of student affairs.

A Campus-To Fall in LOVE with ! Being an alumni I would like to share some key insights. LPU campus is spread over 700+ acres. It has all the facilities in one campus, let it be the hospital, shopping mall, hotel, banks, ATM machines. LPU campus is one of the safest campuses maintained by over 400 full-time security professionals, most of whom are experienced ex-military personnel. I was surprised to SEE the diverse dining and shopping options available within the university campus. There is a state-of-the-art 8-storey mall which has shops of all possible needs, departmental stores, and gadget stores too. Diverse options of dining are also available within the campus, which range from traditional Indian sweets to modern coffee shops. Most importantly, it has various banks with more than 50 ATMs inside the campus; hence, students need not go outside for any kind of transactions. The campus of LPU is so vast that it has its own postal code and office. I would recommend you to visit this university once if you are planning to get admission for yourself or your anyone else. Thanks to e-rickshaw and local auto anyone can now commute easily inside the campus. It really is one of the largest and well built university in India.

Yes, it is a major point of concern to choose a college which is good in all aspects and I can definitely say LPU is worth joining. LPU is excellent in terms of academics, placements, sports and co-curricular activities and also the life student avails over here is life long mesmerized by him/her. LPU is situated in an area of more than 600 acres, its is having a world class infrastructure. In this short span of time lpu has availed various rankings, accreditation, numerous international tie-ups, all because of its impeccable placement records. The academic content is as per the industry requirement, the labs are well-equipped, qualified faculty members, professional enhancement classes are also the part of the curriculum. The university has a Division of career services which focuses on the placements of the students. In this world class infrastructure, LPU is having a mall, hospital, Hotel etc. In the campus itself. There is a department of student welfare which focuses on the activities sports as well as social. It also conducts many fests/events in which various celebrities visit LPU. Some major events of LPU like Youth Vibe, One India, One World are organized every year. LPU is a university where students come here to study from all across the globe. Students get to know various cultures while studying here.

I stayed in LPU during my Post graduation years and honestly those were the best days of my life. I made some amazing friends and had some amazing experiences. Being a girl. Ill must say that LPU is one of the best university. For security purpose, it is very reliable for the girls students. It also contributes the gratification to the parents as well because we are living far away from our homes. The major concern of the parents is the security and safety of their children and LPU is well known for its security. Turnstiles gates are there at the entry of hostels so that no other person should enter the hostel. This University has stringent security measures and is Guarded by highly dedicated Security male and Female Guards deputed all around the premises. This University has a Centralised Security Control Room with 4500+ CCTV cameras all around the university. Girls are handled by the women security guards only. Illegal substances are strictly forbidden and regular checks are done to make sure such activities do not happen in the university. Girls who want to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs of time and will be accompanied by guards to the library and back from the library to their respective hostels. Hostelers (Girls) are not allowed to go outside the university at any given point of time, to go outside the university, permission from parents is taken to provide them with the GATE pass. The university is secured completely with high walls, barbed wires, security guards and CCTVs so no loop holes where they can sneak from. Girls have to enter their specific hostels in specified time duration 7 pm, and they cannot come out the hostels as boys are allowed to roam the university till night. NO OUTSIDERS is allowed in the university without a GATE pass. Meaning even if parents of students come for visit, they have the access to the university through GATE pass only. Any publicly offensive acts are clearly not allowed in the university and strict actions are taken against such acts. No boys are allowed to enter the girls hostel at any point of time. If girls enter after the time they are asked to list their name in the late entry register, which is further asked by the wardens during attendance, which is taken regularly.
