How is life at LPU, Jalandhar?

I am alumni of LPU and I stayed in LPU hostel during my Post graduation years and honestly those were the best days of my life. I made some amazing friends and had some amazing experiences. I am in a better position to answer your question. My experience at LPU has been phenomenal. First of all congratulations to you as you successful entered into the college life. I want to tell you that you are at the very right place, Lovely Professional University not only boosts the career of the Student, It also provides you the skills which school forgot to teach you. Do not miss your Induction at all. You shall participate in your induction programme which will help you to know basic guidelines of your programme, information about your class mentor, HOD etc. You will be getting information about them and contact numbers, email ids will be shared at this time. LPU is a place for every type of student who have different interests and liking. You will get a lot of opportunity in Lovely professional University. There are numerous activities to do depends upon one's choice and interests. There is one Division named Division of Student where you can register for dance, Music, sports etc. !There is a mall in the campus itself where you can shop, eat, play games, etc. There is a gym as well. The campus itself is too big to accommodate all kind of leisure activities. I am sure many more things have been added till now. Enjoy the co-curricular Events: Don't miss the opportunity to refresh yourself by attending the fun events in the evening especially in the month of August. University spends a lot for theses kinds of events. Join a Student Organisation. It's about exposing yourself to something new every time and meeting new people you have an opportunity. There are endless options to choose from and whenever in a fix, go with the NSS or NCC for some community service. Pursue your hobby: Many come to college life saying to themselves Ah, here I am finally. Free from everyone, the family, the society back home and decide to pursue theater or learn to dance or try the guitar or start your own entrepreneurial venture. By the time people realize it, times already gone. So, it becomes crucial to experiment early. LPU provides you wide platform to groom your personality. All you need to do is just to participate in various programs/ events organized by Division of student affairs.

Life at LPU is awesome. LPU's infrastructure is one of the biggest in the country. It houses tons of students-run shops, eating joints and a full-fledged hotel. The green environment is super conducive to learning. LPU Library System provides access to more than 20+ Lacs books and e-books covering all fileds of knowledge, e. g. Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Hotel etc. LPU hosts one of the largest set of laboratories. LPU has three auditoriums - Baldev Raj Mittal Unipolis (seating capacity 20000+), Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium (seating capacity 2500) and university Auditorium (seating capacity 350). These auditoriums are widely used to host the events of international and national repute. The University has 2 amphitheatres which are used to organize cultural events, competitions, plays and the like. These amphitheatres are also used by regional and national film makers as location for their movies and songs. There are many specially designed halls for dance, music, singing, fine arts and for literary clubs with facilities like inbuilt sound system, mirrors, music and singing instruments, props and costumes. These halls are used for rehearsals, preparation for events and competitions. World Class Facilities for next generation Research and Innovation. IN-HOUSE BOWLING COMPLEX With 4 lanes and tens of arcade games. ROLLER SKATING RINK Makes for a great break during exams. There is a SNOOKER LOUNGE and FITNESS EDGE gym. LPU has over 5 banks & 55 ATMs inside the campus. There is UNIVERSITY MALL. There is CAFE COFFEE DAY and there's more: Dominos, Lovely Sweets etc. There are over 300 unique food kiosks!The university is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs and disciplinary misconduct. Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry & exit to residential facility.24x7 Library Access. Manned by over 400 full-time security officials, thousands of security cameras, LPU is one of the safest campuses in the world. The University has its very own fire station department. LPU also has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles ensuring that every movement is monitored. Access of Indoor Sports Stadium With facilities like swimming pool, warm-up pool, shooting range, squash court, badminton court, a volleyball court, basketball court etc. At 50% subsidized Charges. The campus has a 24 hours 30 B.Ed hospital which is staffed with resident medical officers,. .

I was a student years before at LPU. I am alumni now. The environment on campus is peaceful as well as enthusiastic. With daily events and functions going on in the largest private university (LPU), the aura of the university is one sight to SEE. I had an international friend on campus and he says that he loves the ambiance and liveliness of the campus and loves his time there. He's a bright mind who's developing and thriving in the great environment of LPU. With the freedom to achieve dreams come responsibilities too. 1. LPU has stringent security measures and is Guarded by highly dedicated Security male and Female Guards deputed all around the premises 2. LPU has a Centralised Security Control Room with 4500+ CCTV cameras all around the university. 3. The head of the security of the university is also under the retired Brigadier (Indian Army) ensuring strict compliance of law and regulation in the university. 4. Zero-tolerance Policy for Drugs, Ragging, Eve-teasing 5. There's free internet provided for you. 6. You must carry id card with you every time you want to enter or leave the hostel since it is bio-metric. 7. You can come to your room at any time you want. 24 hours check-in and checkout. But however, you must be inside the university before 8 pm (not in the hostel) LPU gives you all the opportunities and resources to take on the world.

Being an LPU student is a great experience. I am a alumni of LPU now but when I was in +2 then when I visited LPU first time in a school tour it was a dream for me to take admission in LPU. Such a big campus all facilities in just one campus. I was amaze and after my graduation I'm still not aware of many places of LPU imagine how big it is. 600+ Acres of land and 58+ Blocks university Mall, university Hotel, Baldev raj Mittal Unipolis, Auditorium, World class Infrastructure for classes, Central Library, Banks,100s of shops, hostel with strict security. And great diverse culture. LPU is more then a university. I miss LPU badly and yes LPU has given me so much in memories. It has 30k + students from 29 states of India and 70 countries throughout the globe. Just come once to visit the beautiful campus. Apart from campus life LPU also leading in placements around 550 MNC's visit LPU to recruit it's student so after UG, PG or Ph.D. don't worry about placements they plan PEP classes for students. Last year max package is 42 LPA.
