At LPU, Master of Physical Education is a 2 year Post Graduate teacher training programme approved by NCTE. The degree equips students to hold positions as faculty in higher education, fitness trainers, sports trainers, sports journalists, commentators and sports marketing managers Pass with 50% aggregate marks in B.P.Ed. OrBSc in Health and Physical Education or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUPET. Medical Fitness Certificate (as per university prescribed format) is Compulsory. (5% relaxation for SC or ST or OBC applicants) Student Achievements Our Students bagged 51 Medals at India's the largest sports festival, Khelo India, 2021. Geeta won Medals at 29th Senior National Wushu Championship 2021. Ashwaria achieve Gold Medal in Hammer throw at National Athletic Sheetal was honored by Indian Floorball Federation during 3rd India Camp for her achievements in Meet declared best player of the Junior National Kabaddi Championship and honoured with 1.5 Lacs cash Award. At LPU, sports facilities are available for various games like cricket, football, boxing, basketball, etc. And many students at the university have achieved excellence in various sports. Indoor stadiums, library, gym, mess, etc. are the LPU Phagwara facilities that are offered to the students. Recently, Lovely Professional University won India's the largest sports festival- Khelo India University Games 2021 (KIUG-2021), held in Bengaluru (Karnataka). The LPU team won, the most, 51 medals (17 gold, 15 silver, 19 bronze); 19 medals ahead of the overall winner. These games are to serve as qualifiers for the World University Games, presently scheduled to be held in Chengdu, China. The 10-day second edition of the international framework of the games witnessed 20 sports competitions, with 3900 participants from 208 universities across India. LPU sports persons exhibited their excellence amid star participation including internationally acclaimed athletes and Olympians. Defending champions Panjab University Chandigarh finished third. Last year, eleven LPU students won Olympics medals including Neeraj Chopra, a Javelin Throw athlete who won a GOLD MEDAL for India at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 after 121 years! We are still in shock and humbled by the exhilarating and miraculous performance thrown by this LPU student who not only made us but the whole of INDIA proud!

LPU also offers a two-year M.P.Ed programme at the PG level. LPU admission 2021 to this course is based on a valid score in the LPUPET exam. The minimum eligibility criteria for LPU M.P.Ed admission 2022 is minimum of 50% aggregate in B. P. Ed/ B.Sc. In Health and Physical Education or equivalent (5% relaxation for SC/ BC applicants). .
