How is the course and infrastructure of UID -Fashion design at Chandigarh University?

Please note that UID means Unitedworld Institute of Design which is very famous brand in Education world and is the flagship wing of the reputed Karnavati University located at Gandhinagar Gujarat. UID is not at all a part of any University of Chandigarh. The course at UID is based on unique pedagogy comprising lot many hands on sessions and workshops throughout the year under the guidance of National level reputed Fashion Designers as Faculty resources. The infrastructure can be compared with a beautiful NEST for budding designers amidst green canvas of nature and pollution free transparent blue sky of Gandhinagar. UID is a part of the knowledge campus of the reputed Karnavati University and therefore the larger than life campus infra of Karnavati University with 18 technically advanced Design workshops is an added advantage of studying in UID. The campus is so huge that it takes 2 days to visit the whole campus. The campus is so beautiful that you will never feel like coming out of the campus.

The course st UID is excellent. Tbe most unique thing about UID is the pedagogy they follow which includes - 1. Data analysis and measuring the effectiveness of the design which makes the design useful for business. After all design is also a business skill. 2. Building and extending brands. 3. Organizational goal driven design work. 4. Presentation skills which helps a designer to convince his or her clients about the effectiveness of the design. A designer should learn how to present his or her design infront of the critiques so that the clients can hire the designer. 5. UID teaches a designer to understand the problem and then accordingly identify the need of a design so that the designer can come out with effective solution. 6. UID teaches effective business communication skill to a designer which is all about negotiation skills, how to read and write email, how to say NO to a client. Otherwise a designer will have to work for free through his or her entire life span. 7. UID focuses on ethical components of a Design. 8. UID teaches about how to do a critical analysis of a design. 9. UID teaches about how to use existing ideas and convert those into new concepts of designing. 10. UID helps a future designer to build his or her portfolios. As far as infrastructure is concerned, let me tell you all that UID is having the best infrastructure in the country. The green, ecofriendly, state of the art infrastructure is bound to stimulate the creative instincts of a budding designer. UID is a part of the knowledge campus of Karnavati University which includes play ground with flood lights, amphitheatre, auditoriums, 18 huge design workshops with advanced tools and amenities, luxirious hostels, open freakout cafe and study zones, AC multicuisine cafeteria. Basketball ground temple and what not. Overall it's a great visual treat to visit the campus of UID.

Please note that UID is not a part of Chandigarh University. UID is a part of Karnavati University. Cant comment about any other University. But I am confident about UID as two of my relatives are pass outs from UID and they gave extremely positive feedback about infrastructure, faculty resources, campus placements and campus environment of UID. I have heard from different sources that currently they are the best. I had been to their campus since and was very much pleased with the campus infrastructure and green and clean UID.

Hi,First of all UID is one of the premier Design institute across India. It has a sprawling infrastructure with well-equipped digital labs as well as all the tools and equipments a designer can think of for creating their absolute best. Talking about Fashion Design, of course NIFT is the best institute that offers this programme but UID's proximity to NIFT gives it an impetus to pull in some of the best Fashion Designers from NIFT as well as globally recognised designers to join in as mentors. So definitely at UID you will be under supreme guidance of expert fashionistas. Not only Fashion but also their common design pedagogy is well known across the country. They have successfully blended their classroom training with modern hands on experiences through workshop labs and other related digital setups.

If you want to make your career on the field of fashion then I believe UID will be the best destination for you. UID helps a future designer to build his or her portfolios. As far as infrastructure is concerned, UID is having the best infrastructure in the country. The campus is located at Ahmedabad Gandhinagar, UID is a part of the knowledge campus of Karnavati University which includes gyms, play ground with flood lights, amphitheatre, auditoriums, 18 huge design workshops with advanced tools and amenities, luxirious hostels, open freakout cafe and study zones, AC multicuisine cafeteria. Basketball ground temple and what not. Overall it's a great visual treat to visit the campus of UID. The faculty members of this college are truly knowledgeable and they help the students individually to explore the beauty of fashion. I must say if you want to build your career in the field of fashion design, UID will be the best option to achieve your dream.

Hi Poonam 1st let me clear you Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) is a constituent college of Karnavati University, Ahmedabad. UID is no where linked with Chandigarh University. So now if you are talking about infrastructure, UID provides students with a serene and secure campus of 35 acres amidst nature. Availability of well furnished residences, amazing mess facility, well stocked libraries along with world class amenities such as cafeteria, gym, playground, salon, ATM, stationary ect. The campus is fully equipped with facilities that provide the necessary infrastructure to deliver courses effectively. UID is one of the best institutes in India.

Dear Readers, The question is bit confusing. I must say, UID [Unitedworld Institute of Design] is a constituent college of Karnavati University, Ahmedabad. UID is India's Best Private Design college. Which is no where linked with Chandigarh University. UID is better known for its Infrastructure, Placement, Internships, course pedagogy, the world class faculty members mostly ex NIDians and NIFTians. Guys, if u could secure a seat at UID, then that's the best choice and you will forever sail in your career! Securing a seat at UID is not that easy. Talking about course and infrastructure of UID Fashion designing is very good and best for the students who wants to make their career as a profession in Fashion Designing. A well qualified and experienced faculty are there to guiding and motivating students. A great number of companies came for placements offering a good number of package.
