Optometry also called 'Science of eye' is a dynamic health care profession that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of issues relating to vision and eye health. Limiting the scope of optometry to the supplying of eye equipments such as spectacles and lenses is a pure fallacy as Optometrists undertake much more challenges beyond this, including screening of various signs of diseases, giving specialist advice & treatment, ocular hygiene and more. Chandigarh University (CU) admissions are generally based on CUCET scores for most of the courses. Students need to appear for the test or submit scores of any other accepted exams as stated by the university. Hence, in some cases, you may get admission in CU without CUCET. The CUCET test is also a scholarship test and if you want to get the scholarship benefits offered by the university based on CUCET scores, then you will have to appear for the exam.
