The average work experience is 4.7 years at ISB and is much lower than the IIMs one year program for executives (9.5 years). It would be obvious that considering the notable difference in the average work experience of the class between the two, the salaries would also differ. Those with a higher experience would draw bigger paychecks, which is why the average salary at IIMA-PGPX ranges around 25-30 LPA and tends to be greater than ISB which is around 19-20 LPA. The average salary for IIM PGPX is higher than ISB. If you have between zero to two years of experience, the 2 year PGP at IIM will be good. Between 2 to 7 years of work experi

For both the colleges, the placements are quite impressive. For the placement statistics of ISB, kindly refer to: http://www.isb.edu/pgp/careers/placement-trends
For that of IIM-Ahmadabad, refer to: https://web.iima.ac.in/corporate/recruiters/placement-process/final-placement.html
For IIM Bangalore placement report, refer to:

For IIM Calcutta placements, refer to: https://www.iimcal.ac.in/recruiters/recruiters/pgp-placements/summer-placements/placement-report
Talking about the placements, all the given colleges have a median salary around 20 LPA. For ISB, the average salary was INR 20,90,211. ISB had most offers in t

Placement pattern is humungous for the right candidates. Regarding one year MBA from IIM-A, B, C i.e. PGPX the placement rose to 17 percent and the CTC offered was 25-40 LPA from various industries from India and abroad. The entire placements took place in 2 days. On the other hand, ISB-Hyderabad was magnificent in its placements, hence the highest CTC offered was 70 LPA. The median salary offered was above 20 LPA. Each and every organisation participated in the placement. In my Alma Mater, my Dean said we do not provide any placement.

One year MBA or Executive MBA is basically good for people who already have a good work experience and the skills that they enhance by this course gives them better opportunities in their previous organisations. We have seen many large groups sponsoring their employees for the E-MBA courses so that they take up larger responsibilities in their companies. If you have lesser work experience then it would be better to do a regular MBA of 2-years from a reputed MBA institution.

IIM's are still in the phase of earning recognition for their 1-year program. I would rank ISB as the top most choice for the same. It is ranked under top 30 colleges for doing MBA from around the world. The program, course structure, faculty and post-MBA placements are excellent in ISB and have been a threat to all major IIM's one year MBA programs.
While getting into ISB's one year program is extremely difficult, it is comparatively easy to get into one year program of IIM's.
If you are considering ISB, I will recommend you to consider SP JAIN too.
While ISB is pretty much ahead of SP Jain with respect to the above parameters, SP Jain i
