How is the residential facility of LPU?

LPU besides offering quality education also provides residential facility to its students as well as staff and that too in-campus hostel facility. One can stay in any kind of room depending upon his/her own choice, it has apartments, AC rooms, cooler rooms. The electricity facility is 24 hrs without any intervention.

Best Mess Facility in LPU as: Flexible Food and Mess Options: In order to provide students with more flexibility and increased choice of food varieties, the university is providing more options to the students in selecting the mess, flexible food options etc. The details of various options being provided to the students are: Category 1: Choice of Menu Option A: Standard menu The standard food menu is the same existing option being provided for breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea with snack with unlimited quantity for most of the items. Option B: Basic Menu The students are now also given to opt for Basic Food menu which will have limited items with fixed quantity for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner only (No tea with snacks will be available in Basic food menu). Category 2: Choice of food (North Indian, South Indian, Rajasthan, Gujrati, Haryanvi or Eastern/North Eastern Food) Option A: North Indian food The students have a choice of North Indian food in both Standard menu and Basic menu. Option B: South Indian Food The students have a choice of South Indian food in both Standard menu and Basic menu. Option C: Regional (Rajasthan, Haryanvi, Gujrati, Eastern/North Eastern) Food The students have a choice of Regional (Rajasthan, Haryanvi, Gujrati, Eastern/North Eastern) food in both Standard menu and Basic menu.

Residential facility at campus is much safer and secure as 24 X 7 X 365 security is available and CCTVs are installed at all prominent locations throughout the campus. Security is in the hands of experienced security staff. Turnstile Gates: The entry to residential facilities are regulated through automated turnstile (as in metro railway) and biometric machines and data is saved in computerized data base to track the movement of students/ visitor. Mess in the residential facility provides good quality, hygienic, nutritious mess and multi cuisine menu served four times a day. Constant vigil over vendors is the prime reason for good quality mess plan at residential accommodation. There is an automatic chapatti making machine in every residential accommodation which is hygienic and time saving. Students also have the option of having their mess occasionally or for nonmess opting students at cafeteria provided within residential premises and at various strategic locations within the campus. Medical Facility: University has 30 bedded hospital within the campus and 24 hours medical and Ambulance services are available. Hospital is staffed with Resident Medical Offi cers, Specialists, Physician Assistants, Medical Lab. Technologists, Nurses, Dieticians, Physiotherapists and Psychologists. Banks and ATM Facility : At Campus, we have branches of 5 nationalized banks. In addition, there are 55+ ATMs of different banks within the university campus. Library and Lab facility: Students residing in University campus can avail the Library facility till late hours, presently from 8.00 am till midnight. The greenery makes for a great learning environment and promotes creativity! Students residing in the campus can earn while studying by taking up part time jobs in labs, library, sales, shopping mall etc. Manned by over 400 full time security officials, thousands of security cameras, LPU is one of the safest campuses in the world. The University has its very own fire station department. LPU also has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles ensuring that every movement is monitored. The security of the students is not compromised inside the residential facilities of LPU. The hostels are state of the art. A huge army of security personnel has been deployed all over the campus who keep a round-the-clock vigil. LPU has a hostel from 1 seater to 6 Seater including the AC and Non AC. To maintain cleanliness, rooms are cleaned about 23 times per week. The room has an Air Conditioner, attached washroom, and Geyser in each room. Wooden Box B.Ed Study Table, Chair, and Almirah. Students have to seek permission to use electrical gadgets having a maximum load of up to 5 amperes per apartment. One and two Seater apartments have attached lobby and kitchenette. There is an electricity backup and water supply. In addition, staff assistance and medical service (Medicines and tests On Payment). Study Room, TV Room, Lift Facility, Fire Fighting System, Purified Water Facility, Maintenance Services, Wi-Fi Service, Free Electricity Units (As Applicable). There is 24 hr. Electricity backup Water Supply and services are available. There are mess services, laundry services, dedicated parking, departmental store, cafeteria, saloon for boys, printing and copier machines, shops in all hostels, Guest Rooms, Car Wash Facility, Shopping Mall, and Tuck Shops. From ala care to regional mess, the LPU hostel has all. It has North Indian, South Indian, Rajasthan, and many other regional messes. A student can choose the food as per his or her taste. The quality of food is good. Parathas, Butter, Curd, Milk, and Tea are served at breakfast. At lunch, Dry Vegetables, Dal, any Gravy item, Rice, Chapati, and Raita are served. For dinner Chapati, Seasonal Vegetables, Rice, and Desserts are served. The campus is ragging-free, drug-free, and tobacco-free. One can complain if someone has a problem with the residential facilities room. The hostel management looks into the matter and resolves it at the earliest. The female guards are deployed in the girls' hostels. There are female security guards who look after the security of the girls' hostel. The Girls who want to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs of time and are accompanied by guards to the library and back from the library to their respective hostels. Girls are not allowed to roam around the hostel till late at night. No outsiders are allowed. Even the parents must get a GATE pass to enter the university premises. Strict disciplinary actions are taken against the guilty.

LPU Hostels always provide reasonably good value for money. You also have the chance to meet a lot of other international students or students from 29 different states because Hostels are generally well known for being social. LPU residential Facilities are indeed exceptionally well organized and maintained. The hostel administration here is very cooperative and caring. Hostel residents are permitted to keep Electrical Kettles, Electrical Irons, Steamer, Laptop, mobile charger, shaving set, trimmer, hair straightener, and hairdryer. Basic essentials are already provided to students as per seater like table, chair, Almirah, etc. Apartments can feel like a home away from home when you are stepping outside your comfort zone. Having a homely base to come back to each day makes a huge difference to happiness. Kitchen facilities are given in apartments and allow students to cook with ingredients picked up from local markets. For apartment rooms with pantries, students may also use induction plates for cooking food in addition to gadgets mentioned for hostels. Apartments are costly in comparison to hostels as more facilities are given to apartment holders. I hope this helps. Thanks!
