How many universities in India have their engineering programs ABET-accredited? Is this accreditation guarantee placements?

<p dir="ltr">In India, there are 10 universities with ABET-accredited engineering programs. These include Chandigarh University, Bharath University, Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Kalasalingam University, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Mody University of Science and Technology, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, SVKM's NMIMS Deemed to be University (Mumbai Campus), and Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.&nbsp;</p><p dir="ltr">While ABET accreditation is a mark of programme quality, it significantly enhances employability. Chandigarh University, for instance, has a strong placement track record, with over 858 companies visiting in 2023 with good placement rate. Accreditation is a positive factor in attracting recruiters.</p>
