I am pleased to help you here!
You need to maintain minimum 7 CGPA for placement. The TGPA after every semester is the aggregate marks of Continuous Assessments (CAs), Attendance marks, Mid Term Exams (Mates) and End Term Exams (ETEs). Then the average of TGPAs of all semesters becomes CGPA. If you want to score good, then maintain good marks in all the parameters. I hope it helps you!

Being alumni of LPU, I can answer better this question. The requirement of CGPA for placement depends on the particular company visiting for the placement. As per my experience, most of the companies ask for a minimum of 6 CGPA to get eligible for placement. LPU is better in terms of placements. Every year more than 550+ companies visit LPU every year. In fact, LPU created a new record in the whole of North India by placing its student Tanya Arora with Microsoft, who bagged a package of 42 LPA. Besides, other record-breaking placements for LPU includes:
the highest Placement (Engineering) Rs. 42 Lacs per annum (Microsoft)

It totally depends upon the efforts you put. Although people say that 7 CGPA has to be maintained and 8 CGPA is found out to be average placements. Placements are already great at LPU. LPU saw participation from over 650 companies in recent 2020 placements and saw a great jump in the highest package that reached 42 LPA. The highest stipend also touched Rs 80,000 for the final placements in 2020. Keeping up with its high standards, over 550 national and international companies visited the campus this year including Hewlett Packard, Amazon, Abbott, IBM, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Google, and Microsoft.

I had worked closely as Faculty Placement Coordinator in LPU. As per my understanding before talking about final placement one should consider about steps of getting shortlisted in campus placement drive where CGPA plays an important role. As per my experience, CGPA kept as nominal by most of the companies as shortlisting criteria. Final Placement depends upon many other parameters set by the prospective employer as per the requirement of that particular job profile. LPU always considers student's career interest / pathway in following 4 ways,
    1) Corporate Job
    2) Government Job
    3) Higher Studies
    4) Entrepreneurship
    Students just need to se

If you want to explore, learn, grow and want to get placed in good companies then I must say please go ahead and take admission. If you want to score good CGPA in any programme, be regular in your class, don't miss the lectures because if you maintain more than 90% attendance, you will get marks. Now marks of all four section will be added and it will decide your final TGPA of semester. Your total marks will added and final grade is depends upon the performance of other students in that subject. If the highest score in that subject is low then your grade will be high even if your marks is less and vice-versa. Believe me guys, once you

It completely depends on you and your efforts. How much eager you're and how much you have prepared yourself for placements. Well LPU never lags behind in placements. I have been studying in LPU since 2019 and I can assure you that LPU is best for CSE placements they have really great data and records of placements and even in this pandemic. So you don't worry about placements from LPU. Just work hard on yourself and gain at least more than 7 CGPA. Believe it or not some companies demand good CGPA. CGPA has to be maintained and 8 CGPA is found out to be average placements. Hence maintain your good results and you'll shine and grab good

CGPA is important because there are certain companies who want students of certain CGPA to appear for the interview. CGPA is one part where one must guard oneself and leave no loopholes. However there is one thing one has to do. Not paying any attention to co curricular activities would be suicidal. One has to aim at holistic development. The companies not only want intelligent people but also those who are good at presenting things. This one can learn while doing mock interviews, group discussions, presentations and other such activities. The teachers, mentors and the placement faculty will pin point the flaws that will help the stude
