How much of CGPA is required to be maintained in order to get good placement in LPU?

I do not know about LPU but I feel the placement record of Chandigarh University is much better than LPU. CU has been awarded with best university with placements in India. The minimum CGPA required to sit for placements in CU is 60 percent.

Yes, a good CGPA is required to get good placements. If you have reappears of backlogs then they will not let you sit in placement drive actually they required 6.50 CGPA. And maintaining a good CGPA is a sign of a good student. Apart from this LPU do a lot of hard work to get their student placed. They give students PEP classes. In which students can enhance their communication skills and interpersonal skills which is most important in terms of interview points of view. That's it from my side.

As per my experience, most of the companies ask for a minimum of 6 CGPA to get eligible for placement. LPU is better in terms of placements. Every year more than 550+ companies visit LPU every year. In fact, LPU created a new record in the whole of North India by placing its student Tanya Arora with Microsoft, who bagged a package of 42 LPA. Besides, other record-breaking placements for LPU includes: the highest Placement (Engineering) Rs. 42 Lacs per annum (Microsoft) the highest Placement (Management) Rs. 19.75 Lacs per annum (SOBHA Developers) the highest Placement (Design) Rs. 15 Lacs per annum (Trident Group) Amazon recruited LPU students on a package of 28 LPA The highest internship stipend is up to 80k per month. (which is really hard to get in other universities) The reason why LPU has better placement records than CU is because of its unique career cell. It enables students in getting relevant work experience to complement their studies and develop appropriate skills and knowledge. Resume writing, aptitude development workshops among other activities are hosted for the overall development of students and prepare them to crack the interviews easily.

I did MBA from this University and I would say LPU is one of the best choices indeed. It provides for multiple industrial exposures,live projects,an updated curriculum rigor and technology along with very good placements and personality development. LPU is helping me grow professionally and personally with its career-oriented programs and support. If you want to score good CGPA in any programme ,be regular in your class,dont miss the lectures because if you maintain more than 90% attendance, you will get marks. Now marks of all four section will be added and it will decide your final TGPA of semester.Your total marks will added and final grade is depends upon the performance of other students in that subject.If highest score in that subject is low then your grade will be high even if your marks is less and vice-versa. Believe me guys, once you get shortlisted to sit in a company, CGPA doesnt matter at all. But, concentrate more on the word SHORTLISTED. If you are not shortlisted, you will not be able to even sit for the company exam. Thats the reason CGPA becomes the most important thing in university. Now, heres the tricky part. What if you are always getting shortlisted but you dont have the skills which companies actually want from you, You dont have that personality, that aura, that technical knowledge or those coding skills? In my batch, I have seen both types of students. One was those who were unable to appear in much of the companies because of CGPA issues but when they got even 1 chance they bagged the Job. Second types were those who were always getting shortlisted for each company but still were getting rejected from companies because they lacked those skill set which company wanted. So to conclude, I would say, CGPA holds importance till you are shortlisted for a company. After that, during interviews/GDs/Case Studies, companies will not care if you are a 10 pointer or 7 pointer. So, try maintaining a balance between studies and extra co-curricular activities. Build your coding skills if you want to get into software company. Build your public speaking skills and Team working skills if you want to work in a consultancy firm. Build your core technical knowledge other than that of course books if you want to get into core company of your respective branch. Keep in mind, studying for CGPA and studying for knowledge are two different things. You will score between 6.5 to 8 CGPA for sure to maintain a balance in these mentioned criteria.
