Admissions are on and apply for admission as soon as possible. If you want to pursue B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication, then let me tell you the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria is passed with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent. Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme. So, first of all decide the programme that you want to join and check its Eligibility criteria for Admission. LPU conducts LPU NEST for all the programmes. LPU NEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of eligibility and scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship. LPU does offer a course B.A. (Journalism and Mass Communication) which is designed to expose students to all dimensions of Print, Electronic and New Age Media . Focus on enhancing technical skills of reporting, news design software, video editing, photography etc.
Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam)
Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST
For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium.
(5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants).
Industry certifications, MOOCs, Hackathons / Co-curricular Competitive events, Workshops, Guest lectures, Educational Trips, Live projects, Incubation projects, Community projects, projects with NGOs etc. are an integral part of curriculum.
The candidate may get an option for Credit Transfer,International Exposure Option and Semester Exchange as decided by the University subject to conditions.

Media has become the part and parcel of our daily lives. We stay connected to each other through social media. The media industry is one of the booming industries in the world. It provides job opportunities to media students and offers a very fast paced and challenging environment to work.
The scope of mass communication in India is wide, if you can do well in your field, you can work with some of the best publishing houses, production houses, news channels, radio channels or PR firms of the country. From advertising to Journalism to Public Relations, a student can opt for any field he likes.
There were many of my batchmates in Lovely Professional University who did their B.A. (Journalism & Mass Communication). In today's date they are really well settled in Industry & to some extent some of them more successful & in respectful position in Industry. The eligibility criteria to have admission in LPU is that the student needs to have a minimum of 50% in 12th with English as a subject studied.The admissions for session 2017-18 is open.The students can take admission by coming to the campus or filling online application from university website ( www.lpu.in ).
