To get a seat in Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology for B.E. in Civil Engineering, candidates must pass 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one among Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational Subject, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category of Karnataka) in the above subjects taken together. Admission is through KEA.
