Hello Rahul,
Here are some of the tips to crack IIT:
Mathematics- Practice as much as you can. Go through the previous year question papers, it will give you the idea of toughness. Some topics forms the base for all other chapters like - quadratic equations, logarithams & trigonometry. You must have command on all of them.
Physics- It is one of the most interesting subjects. Some of the easiest chapters are - current electricity, modern physics, optics, waves, etc. Mechanics is very important. I would suggest IE Irodov for mechanics (Although, it is tough but give ample exposure to topic and a huge confidence).
Physical chemistry- I would...more -
Preparing for IIT JEE requires 100 % attention, concentration, accuracy knowledge speed strong memory power hard work and a never give up attitude.
Cracking IIT exam is not easy my friend. It requires a high analytical thinking over a problem.
To crack IIT, you should opt for self-study and take help of online coaching because the number of students cracking IIT exam have done a good amount of self-study.
So opt for online coaching.
All the best. -

8 years agoUnderstand the basic concepts of PCM. Class 11th acts as the base to qualify JEE mains exam. Keep practicing conceptual problems of physics, you can refer books like H.C.Verma and I.E. Irodov to get the variety of examples. Maths needs practice along with the proper method of solving it. In Chemistry you, need to remember a lot, try to make good crisp notes of concepts and chemical formulas. If you are self-studying for IIT, then you need to be very focused and determined. Take as many tests as possible because it is the best way to revise concepts and formulas. -

If you are taking IIT coaching classes then HC Verma is the best book for physics, Singage or RD Sharma is the best book for maths, Amit Chauhan or OP Tandon are the best for organic chemistry. If you thoroughly read them and prepare a timetable to study all of these then it will be good for you. Focus on solving more and more questions and keep your concepts of chemistry clear.

You have to work hard right from the beginning. Refer to good books like the concept of physics by HC Verma, and OP Tandon for chemistry or the engage publication books.
Pay attention to the basic concepts.
With enough practice and the right attitude, you would be able to crack the exam.

Pay attention while you're in 11th standard, make sure your concepts are clear before moving to class 12th as most of the things in 12th are derived from 11th. 11th standard plays an important role to make you understand the concepts and logics of 12th standard, practice hard to solve the maximum number of questions in less time, seek help from teachers. Revise every chapter accordingly.
