I am an average student of B.E CSE 3rd semester and want to join IIM-A, B or C. How should I proceed and what should I do?

Hi Ansh, To get through any IIM you need to appear for CAT. Only if you score distinctively high I. e. around 96 percentile (Depends on year on year) you might stand a chance to get a call from them. Aim to score 98-99 percentile. Also they would check your academics throughout and you need to meet up to their criteria to get through the interview and GD rounds. Start studying hard and smart and appear as many Mocks as you can. Also refer to various authors and apply for test series at different places. As they say the more, the merrier. Good Luck Mate.

Hi Ansh, Firstly, it is okay to be average student till the time you are ready to work harder than the rest. And, secondly, it is difficult to predict the chances of getting calls from these prestigious colleges and converting the same since not only marks, percentages and sectional cutoffs, but the overall background matters. But yes, to get into a top B school such as IIM A, B or C, you need to prepare well and get exceptional percentile in CAT. Other than that, start working on your resume. Add some good projects, academic internships, social internships etc. To make it strong.
