I am getting an average IIM. Should I go ahead with admission or is it worth to reappear for chances of getting into other top B-Schools?

It depends on many factors.
If the average IIMs you are talking about are IIM, Indore and IIM, Kozhikode then I would suggest considering joining them. But if you are talking about the newer ones like IIM, Trichy and Raipur I would suggest reevaluating your options. Also consider non IIMs like ISB, SP Jain, MDI, NMIMS, etc. as these colleges are as good as (or maybe a bit better) than IIM, Indore and Kozhikode.

If you are not getting IIM – A ,B ,C ,L and K then it is always recommended to try again next year, provided:
1. You are not unemployed currently as a gap in CV doesn't look good and it would haunt you even after post-graduation
2. You are confident of performing better next year because it is always better to take the opportunity at hand than to lose it for something which you may or may not get.
3. There are no second thoughts about this decision as this is one of the most important decisions of your life. You need to be absolutely sure about this. Later you should not feel regret if this thing doesn't work out.

No, you should definitely go for IIM because it is the top premier B-School. Even if it is average, you will get a tag of IIM graduate and that is a big thing to make an impact on the company hiring you because they will surely prefer an IIM graduate over the other B-School graduate so they will surely hire you and will edge over other.
There is no question of thinking which way to go if you are getting an IIM you should definitely go and don't waste time over searching for other colleges because if you are getting an IIM, you will be having at least 90 percentile in CAT to get a call from IIM so if you want to search for other top B-Sc...more
