I am in the 4th sem of B.Com & want to prepare for CAT. But I am weak in maths, should I wait & improve my knowledge of it or go for it?

    Dear Jyotishmoy,
    As you are well aware that CAT has two sections namely; quantitative and qualitative. Section A is all just to check your mental awareness whereas section B tests your mathematical skills. Since, you are saying that you are weak in maths, hence my suggestion is that don't give CAT exam now. Wait-prepare-crack.
    If you are aiming for any IIMs and FMS, then it is necessary for you to have 95% in your CAT (which is not possible if you are week in maths). I would suggest you to take drop after your graduation and stay focused in your maths preparation. This will surely maximize your chance of success.
