    Yes you can opt for machenical. As it is a core branch

    Mechanical is more preferable you can learn computer science from open source but vice versa is not possible.

    It is dependent on you.
    which field you like for example if you are good in machines working , fundamental principles, etc. then mechanical is good for you
    or if you are familiar with coding and languages like C++, C ,etc then you should take computer engineering.
    select carefully because it will become your base in further education.

    Certain questions are rather redundant in the Indian context. Irrespective of the Branch and the course of Study, all students are ending up with Computer jobs. I don't mean to supply negative ideas to students, but Computer is the ultimate source for all.

    You can do b. Tech in only one branch
    Either if you are interested in logical and analytical skills then select cse
    Or if you want go for mechanical

    If U have I will prefer U Cs bc its not only in india but also in the world an arising field that will give you more opportunities than mechanical engineering

    here in India there is lot of scope for CSE software in this u don't get any time to spend and heavy work load tensions and in mechanical u can do work easily and should use only same process day by day on ur company
