I am preparing for IAS exam. I run my own ngo . If i pass the exam , will I be asked to leave the ngo before joining as an IAS/IPS OFFICER.

    Hi Reena yes if you are selected and cleared all the rounds in UPSC and became IAS/IPS officer then you will have to resign or remove your name from NGO. If NGO is registered in other family member name then it would not be an issue. The best example I can give you is of current Delhi CM Mr Arvind Kejriwal. He was working as Indian Revenue Service officer in Income Tax department. He had resigned and formed an NGO for social work. So, in your case it could be just the opposite.
