I am working in Delhi. Is there any easy way in which I can complete my Ph.D. course work? When I can apply?

Hi Dear, PhD programme emphasizes on off-the-shelf research to create new knowledge and explore future challenges. The researcher is expected to identify the research gaps, formulate objectives, develop methodologies for finding solutions to real life problems. Eligibility Criteria for PhD is a) Masters degree with 55% aggregate marks in a relevant discipline or equivalent, subject to clearing LPUNEST and Interview; b) Other conditions as prescribed in the Guidelines for Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D. ) programmes. (5% relaxation to SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ differently-able candidates). # Admission Criteria: An applicant will be short listed for interview on the basis of his/ her score in the entrance examination LPUNEST (Ph.D. ). The final selection for admission in Ph.D. will be based on the performance in Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the Interview. # LPU conducts an entrance exam twice in a year. Admission in a particular discipline will be available subject to availability of seats with the advisory from the University or under the guidance of adjunct faculty after the approval of University. Applicants who qualify UGC (NET/ JRF)/ CSIR (NET/ JRF)/ ICAR (JRF/ SRF) examination/ SLET (Punjab only)/ GATE/ GPAT score card/ ICAR (NET), SPM, Teacher Fellowship holder or passed M.Phil. Programme (in regular mode only) are exempted from LPUNEST (Ph.D. ) entrance test (GATE/ GPAT score should be valid at the time of admission). The final selection for admission in Ph.D. is based on the performance in Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the Interview. However if anyone is exempted from LPUNEST (Ph.D. ) entrance test in lieu of above mentioned tests, then 100% weightage will be given to Interview only. Unless otherwise specified by the University, the medium of instruction, course work, examination, question paper, synopsis and thesis will be English in all cases. # If you have done your course work in M. HiPh.D. is that part of education which can be easily pursued in a part time mode if you are working somewhere. I know of LPU which offers flexible course work schedule to suit students. The admissions have already started in LPU in the online mode. First you can apply for admission and then book your LPU NEST the syllabus and paper pattern is given on the website of LPU. LPU NEST is being conducted in an online proctored mode due to the grim condition of the country due to covid. This might give you a higher scale of scholarship. Then you can choose the option of course work which would be suitable for you. You can contact the counselors mentioned on the website for guidance. LPU aids research with grants and experienced faculty. It is for such reasons that Ph.D. from LPU can be completed within the stipulatd time span. Good Luck!
