I did M. hill, now do I need qualify LPU NEST Ph.D. Is there any additional benefit, If course work is completed in M. hill?

    The Candidate who has passed M.Phil in the regular mode is exempted from LPU NEST for admission to Ph.D. But you will have to appear for the interview provided you meet the eligibility criteria. There is no other benefit as such for the course work completed in M. Hill. One can appear in the LPU NEST to avail scholarship. The scholarship provided on the basis of the LPU NEST score is applicable throughout the course duration. The admissions for 2023 are open.     Hi Nomanjee, you will get benefit of M.Phil. You will get exempted from coursework but you will have to submit the transcripts to the university. The university will look into the genuineneess and only then you can get exemption. Hope this answer helps. Good Luck.

    Hi Nomanjee, As per UGC guidelines, it is not mandatory for a candidate to pursue an MPhil in order to apply for a doctoral degree. Candidates are offered direct admission in some universities if they have completed their MPhil and in some universities, the candidate does not have to do the PhD coursework again. There are certain requirements for pursuing a PhD:
    a) Masters degree with 55% aggregate marks in a relevant discipline or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST and Interview;
    b) Other conditions as prescribed in the Guidelines for Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D. ) programmes. (5% relaxation to SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy la
