    In India, transferring directly into the second year of a B.Tech programme in a different college is generally challenging, as most institutions do not have provisions for such transfers. However, you have the option to pursue a B.Tech degree through the lateral entry scheme, which allows Diploma holders to join directly into the second year of the program. This would require you to complete a three-year Diploma in engineering first.
