    Most institutions that admit students for B.Ed programs need candidates to achieve a minimum 50% grade average during graduation. Specific universities along with colleges show leniency by opening their admission application process to candidates who achieved 49% marks. Candidates who belong to the SC/ST/OBC/PwD reserved categories can receive eligibility criterion relaxations to a maximum limit of 5% in specific universities. Under the University Grants Commission policy a 5% relaxation exists for SC/ST candidates while lowering the minimum requirement to 45% marks.
