I got 62% in 12th and currently I am doing UG (non-engineer). Will it affect my chances even if I secure a high percentile in CAT?

I am a general category male student.

IIMS gives weightage to academic qualifications in following manners.
    1. Class 10th marks; 90% will be rated by Class 10th marks
    2. Class 12th marks; 60%, but less than or equal to 70, will be rated by 05 marks (as in your case if Class 12th done with Arts stream).
    3. Now suppose, if you are doing graduation in Arts stream and scores between 65%-70% than the rating of 05 marks will be given to you. The minimum cut off percentage of class 10th and class 12th examinations in different categories are as under.
    A) Science stream 80 for general.
    B) Commerce stream 77 for general
    C) Arts& Humanities 75 for general
Your probable streams may be B

No, it will not affect your chances of you get good percentile in CAT, because IIMs only consider maximum 20 % weightage from your previous education try to get good percentile in your graduation, if you have chance it will give you good result in future.
