I got 8800 rank in KCET and now, I want to do engineering in Karnataka. I have confusion about the branch. Should I take CS or EC?

With this rank, it is really tough to get a good college for doing CS so to go for EC in a good college will be good for you depending on your interest.

6 years agoIt's completely up to your interest and decision. If you are good at coding and memorizing then CS is good for you but if you are really into diagrams, connecting wires, experimenting new things practically then go for EC. Well in 2nd year in EC you will get to study basics of CS subjects like C or C+ and DBMS that would help you if you in future if you are placed in IT companies. -
Obviously, if it is scope go with CS. But when come
to interest it is you who decides your future. In ECE, you will learn network, work on IC chips, VLSI and many more but note hardware which you studies in CS. So, take your decision by your interest. -
