I had psychology, sociology and English literature as my subjects in BA 1st year. Which is the best option to pursue for Honours?

Manisha both English and Psychology are good options. There are numerous career prospects available for Literature students. They can get jobs in India as well as overseas in a variety of fields. Students of English Literature can get jobs with the media as reporters. It is also possible for them to get jobs with newspaper firms. If they have a degree in journalism, they can get jobs with news broadcasting firms like NDTV, CNN – IBN, Zee News, Star News Communication etc. Companies that print out Magazines as well as journals too take in students of English literature frequently. Content development and ITES firms also recruit English post graduates. Treatment is focused on therapy and counseling, rather than prescribing medications for a “quick fix.” It is also the psychologist’s job to come up with an individualized treatment plan for each patient, and to modify it as necessary over time. Starting salary can vary between Rs.6,000-15,000 per month. As one establishes himself in the field and specializes in any of its branches, he can earn more (up to Rs.2 lakh per month.). Many good private universities like LPU, Sharda, Manipal etc are offering different degrees in English as well as Psychology at nominal fees. First tell me which state you belong to, I think you are from West Bengal. If you are from West Bengal, English is the best option, but if you choose it, please complete your B.Ed degree M.A also important for your academic background for SSC.
