    Hi Rajat,
It is very difficult to get admission in SIMSREE, even having reservation category, because when you apply through CMAT, then you will get admission, as per your all India rank and not by category. Category will only help you in fees concession, when it comes to admission through CMAT.

There are two types of people who pursue MBA.
    i) The ones who want to do MBA to develop their business acumen and gain technical knowledge from he best to be the best.
ii) They are the ones who are more inclined towards the MBA degree for H1 Visas, Salary hike, or some job or to delay marriage.
If you fall in the first category then it will be little difficult to grab admission in 2019-2021 session as top tier 3 colleges in India also require 90%+ in CMAT, your score of 71% in B.com is good will help you convert calls if any.
If you belong to the latter category and want degree then you can apply in CAP rounds in All India Quota this y

Cut-off for Sydenham is generally 95+ for open category, so chance are weak to get admission.

I think your chance of college selected for admission is quite low because they want 95+ percentile in the entrance exam but still go in college and enquire about it.

The admission process of SIMSREE for PGDBM, Mumbai consists the followings.
    1. The student has to appear for MAH-CET conducted by DTE or any exam equivalent to MAH-CET (CAT and CMAT)
    2. Apply to admission process of DTE(follow announcements at https://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in). DTE will conduct Document verification at ARCs
    3. On the basis of percentile of normalized score of entrance exams, seat allocation will be done by DTE on merit in CAP rounds.
The expected CMAT cutoff percentile for this college is about 99+ (Score 270-290), hence your chances are very low.
