    Yes, even though you completed your engineering in electronics, you are eligible to apply for different Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) jobs after completion of an M.Tech in Computer Science. The PSUs normally seek applicants who possess a technical degree in engineering (B.Tech/M.Tech) in various disciplines such as Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical, and so on.

It depends on the PSU for which you are working. You need to have permission in the form of a NOC to pursue any course for additional qualification, according to service rules at the majority of PSUs. This applies to correspondence courses as well, and you need to have a prior NOC to register at IGNOU. PSUs typically encourage their employees to obtain additional credentials so they can advance in their careers and be eligible for promotions. Therefore, you can get a NOC to pursue a course at IGNOU.

True, you can get a better salary offer at a PSU than at an IES. For example, the basic pay is around Rs. 60,000 in most PSUs, whereas the pay scale of an IES entry-level position is Rs. 15,600 to Rs. 39,100. However, the perks offered to IES officers outweigh the salary part of PSUs. These includes: 1. IES has better authority and respect in society than any other PSU.
