I have done M.Sc through distance, am I eligible to apply for NET?

    Hello Pallavi,
    Yes, you can apply for the exam. But according to your qualification you can appear in CSIR NET subject not in UGC NET. Got confused between these two exams? Don't worry I will clear all your doubts. Keep reading the answer you will get to know the basic difference. There are some subjects which a M.Sc. Student can give in UGC NET. The most common and important difference between CSIR NET and UGC NET is that CSIR NET Exam is conducted only for the Science stream students and UGC NET Exam is conducted for all the other subjects but expect Science.     Hi,If you have passed M.Sc Distance from recognized university with minimum 55%, then you can apply for NET exam. Thanks.

    Yes, you are eligible provided you have done your degree from a recognised board. As long as you will be able to meet the eligibility criteria for the National Eligibility Test, there will be no issue.
