UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) is an entrance exam through which candidates are awarded for lectureship and for junior research fellowship. For appearing in UGC NET Exam, candidate should have to complete their post-graduation or should be appearing in final year of their Masters degree. Yes, you are eligible to take your NET Exam. Your master's degree is only needed for applying in UGC NET Exam. Other than your post graduation degree, you also have to fulfill other eligibility criteria like :
- You must have scored at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST, OBC- NCL, PwD) in Masters Degree. - Your age must not be more than 28 years (If you are applying for Junior Research Fellowship). - If you are applying for Lectureship, then there is no upper age limit.
UGC also provides fellowship as well as an honorable certificate to its top scorers.
