You could explore the following:
1. Seek internal transfer into HR department in your existing organisation and start handling HR related work assignments.
2. Pursue global certifications in your area of interest in the HR domain viz talent acquisition, IR, compliance, psychometric testing, training, engagement, analytics, HRIS, OD, etc.
3.Start interacting with HR professionals on specific social media platforms which have forums/groups for the HR professionals.
4.Develop a habit of reading content on HR related topics via books, web, social media,

I suggest you to sharpen your skills by attending workshops and seminars in the respective field. It will also help you get connected to HR community.
You can also start to subscribe HR journals, do research on your area of interest and submit review article in newspaper/blog. If possible, take up some teaching assignments and share your experience with future managers. All the best!
