I have taken PCM for my class 12 and want to pursue graduation in biotechnology can I do it?

    It might become quite difficult to survive in biotechnology because a PCM student is unaware of basic concepts of biology which are roots of biotechnology. It is true that to study biotechnology one have to be very thorough in the basic concepts of biology. The syllabus of biology taught in 11th and 12th are the base of B.Sc. In Biotechnology course. So many institutions don't provide admission to PCM students for biotechnology course. If you have extreme desire to pursue B.Sc.     Hi Pakhi, As you have taken PCM in 12th standard, so I would suggest you to go for B.Tech Biotechnology or B.Sc. (Hons)Biotechnology. Both the courses offered by Lovely Professional University. My sister is pursuing B.Tech (Biotechnology) from Lovely University, I can say LPU is best University to pursue Biotechnology.     Well the eligibility criteria for this programme at LPU is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST or In case student scored more than or equal to 90% in 10+2, or 90 percentile in JEE Mains, then LPU NEST will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission.     Eligibility of B.Sc. (H) Biotech is 60% with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths/ Biology/ Biotechnology.
