I'm a B.Com graduate. I want to prepare for CAT without any coaching. Can anyone guide me on how to start it?

First of all, take a mock. No matter how poorly you perform in it at-least you will get to know where you stand before starting your preparation, which are the areas you need to focus on. There are 3 sections in CAT VA-RC, DI-LR and quants.

You must be able to read and understand anything and everything. Please avoid comfortable topics. You can start with editorials of any newspaper.

    Dear Aliya,
Firstly, I will suggest you to take a diagnostic test for CAT (or solve past year paper) to know where you stand in terms of level of your Maths, English, LR/DI. It is just like pre-board, where you get to know your strong and weak areas and work upon them by the time before your main boards. You can maintain excel sheet and note down your strong and weak areas. As far as book is concerned, I will suggest CBSE NCERT book for Maths, English and Arihant for LR/DI. Though Arun Sharma is good for Maths, but given the level of quant in past two year. I won't suggest you Arun Sharma unlike past year where Arun Sharma was the must
