I passed my 12th from commerce. How can I prepare for IAS exam? What should I study? Can you suggest some books for preparation?

To prepare for IAS after clearing class 12th you should do BA and take political science, geography and history as your subjects. This will help you in IAS and in optional, you should take political science which will help you in mains. But, you should do BA from that university where attendance is not mandatory.

You can complete your B.Com. Any recognised graduation degree will make you eligible for civil services examinations. You will get assistance from institutes such as:
1. Elite academy.
2. Brilliant tutorials.
3. Rau's IAS, etc.
Besides, you can read national dailies and current event magazines to update your GK. The coaching manuals are available at leading book stalls.

Hello,
Before taking admission in any institute, you can also start preparing it by yourself by purchasing the study materials, magazines, be regular updated about current affairs, get monthly magazines, etc.
If you will be earlier updated about all these stuffs it will be easier for you to crack IAS examination.
There are few institutes which will provide you the required materials, monthly magazines, mock tests papers, etc.

After 12th you can join B.A. LL.B. You will be a law graduate after completion of your degree and definitely you will be covering most of the polity syllabus in advance it means you are almost 15% to 20% syllabus is done. For rest of the 85% to 80% syllabus keep your reading according to UPSC pattern. Spend 2/3 hours of newspaper reading. Admission are open for 2020 Batch for Law and other Courses. BBA LL.B. From IILM University is a 5 year integrated course, students with any discipline from recognised board in 10+2 can do it. It aims at developing a new generation of versatile legal professionals through BBA LL.B.A comprehensive and contemporary course of integrated knowledge and rigorous education.
